Bubble Gum and Raspberries

No, Ben is not chewing bubble gum and eating raspberries, he's just introduced his parents to the wonderful world of ear infections this past weekend. He had been fighting a cold for about five days, but woke up Sunday really crabby. He just wasn't himself...clingy, crying, and just plain sad. So off to the doctor we trudged (thank goodness Clarian pediatrics have Sunday morning hours)!!! Sure enough, his cold had moved into his right ear...ugh!

Here's the bubble gum part. Ben's now on a 10 day dose of antibiotic, which is a yummy bubble gum flavor. In the word's of our babysitter's son..."tell Ben he'll love that pink medicine"! And guess what, he does! One good part about this ear infection...at least we don't have to fight him to give medicine.

You may be asking, what's with the raspberries? Well, this is the super cute part of this whole experience. While Ben was at home working on getting better, he developed a new and exciting skill. He is now the MASTER of raspberries. He really puts his whole heart into this new talent. When you watch him, you can tell that he is concentrating hard on making sure his musical instrument (a.k.a. his mouth) is at peak performance!

I'm hoping to upload the video of him soon...I was having trouble with it earlier.
