Snow Cream!!!

One of the few good things about snow is that you can make "snow cream".  Now, I will tell you that it is certainly not a lavish dessert, nor is it something you would ever find in a top notch restaurant, but when it comes to kids, it's the best!!!  Ben and Kyran loved it and ate a whole bowl full... nothing like snow, chocolate syrup and milk to make a memorable night!

Ear Tubes

Poor Kyran had a little surgery last week. He was such a trooper and came through with flying colors. We started very early in the morning, but by 9:00 we were back home and resting.

Our cutie pie, all checked in and ready to go!

 Typical Kyran...checking stuff out.

Checking his O2 levels. Mr. wiggle toes did not cooperate very well!

Before Daddy to get a cup of coffee, our little guy was out of surgery and snuggling in our arms.  Poor buddy was pretty grumpy, but only for a little while... his happy mood returned very quickly!

 Snuggles from Daddy!

I was very lucky and got home with plenty in plenty of time to go surprise Ben for lunch.  I figured on a day that was devoted to Kyran, it wouldn't hurt to show some extra love to my biggest little guy.  He was the perfect lunch date, and I even got to see him help with clean up... he was so excited to be the special helper!

February Randomness

February has been a very, very cold month, and Mother Nature even threw in some snow for good measure!  However, we've still been having fun. Here are some photos from the first half of the month... time is flying by!

Kyran found the dryer last week... needless to say, we now have a lock on it!

One of the perks of teaching the Early Childhood class of high school students is that I get to spend time at the preschool every day.  It was so much fun getting to spend time with Ben at his Valentine's Day party.

Like I said earlier, this month has been very cold.  We've had several delays at school... and on this particular day, Kyran was adamant that he was going to wear this warm ensemble to the babysitter's.  He can definitely pull off cuteness, even in a robe and a baseball cap!

Last Friday, I took the boys and headed north to watch my nephew play basketball.  The boys had a great time and Ben even participated in the "pop shot" which was shooting a free throw to win a 2 liter of pop.  Uncle Matt was a great sport and took Ben out on the court... Ben just needed a little more muscle to get the ball up there, ha ha.
