More Vacation Fun!

Kyran felt like our vacation to Ludington didn't have enough excitement, so he felt compelled to squeeze in a trip to the emergency room!
He and Andy were playing last night.  He would lean back and then pull himself up, then lean back and pull himself up.. giggling the whole time.  Then, he pulled himself up and just started crying like crazy.  We had no idea what happened, but he was holding his elbow.  So, we put some ice on it and waited to see if maybe it was a pulled muscle or something.  An hour later he was still holding it (so, we knew it was for real since he'd normally just forget about minor boo-boos).  We were pretty confident there were no broken bones because he could still move everything, he just didn't want to.
Off to the ER we went.  A very short trip later (seriously, we were in and out in less than an hour) our little guy was treated for "nurse maid's arm" and was happily on his way back home.  It was an easy fix, just a little twist of his wrist and a bend of the elbow, and everything was popped back into place.
Overall, our first trip to the ER was a pleasant one.  Being out of state and taking a 2 year old in to the doctor close to midnight can make for a disaster.  The staff was fabulous, the doctor was great with Kyran, and everyone was extremely helpful.  Glad it was a quick trip and an easy fix!  You certainly can't keep Kyran down for long!!!

Poor buddy! Waiting to see the doctor and get his boo boo fixed.

All better and looking at pictures of Santa Claus! He was all obout Santa this weekend...wanting to tell him all the toys he wanted for Christmas.  Santa better get ready for this kiddo's list!
