Wow...it's been a while!

These past few weeks have flown by!  It seems like Christmas came and went in a flash, and we were just holding on for the ride.  Of course, we enjoyed every second of it!

A lot has been going on since my last post...so much so, that I felt like I never had a chance to sit down at the computer.

We spent time getting the house ready for the holidays, went to our nephew's middle school band concert (6th grade band at its best, lol), visited lots and lots of family, went to my parents for four days over Christmas Eve, went to Andy's parents on Christmas Day, managed to have both boys get ear infections, cut down a tree, spent New Year's Eve with great friends, and spent lots of time just hanging out as a family of four.

We were so glad that Andy could take off two weeks with us, so that we could spend all of Christmas break together.  One of the perks of both of us being in education is that we can definitely carve out quality family time together (sometimes it might be too much family togetherness, ha ha)!

Here are some photos from our fantastic Christmas break.  I apologize in advance for the photo dump but since it's been a month since my last post you're getting a lot!  That's my New Year's resolution...to be more up to date on the blog.  Kyran kind of slowed me down on the blog posts this year, but we're going to get back into full swing, I promise!

All nine cousins goofing around during the photo shoot...they were about done with pictures!

Katie, Emily, and Ben put on a play for us.  It was the birth of Jesus.  Katie was Joseph, Emily was Mary, and Ben was the super smiley shepherd (the sheep played himself)

Grandma Debbie always does a good job of making sure Tiffany has a special birthday, even though it's so close to Christmas.  All the Christmas "stuff" stops on the 23rd so we can celebrate this sweet girl!

Two awesome grandparents with their favorite kiddos!

Just hanging out with Grandpa Jim

This year, we were so happy that Whitney and her kids were able to celebrate Christmas Eve with us...these two guys were getting a little sick of my following them with the camera, but they were always smiling.

Eric and Tai's annual Christmas photo...the one for the cards and the one that Tai would like to send out!

Even Miss Lucy couldn't escape the camera!

Ben unwrapping a Power Ranger...Oh My Goodness!!!!!

Kyran LOVED his walker...we were home less than a week and he was walking without it!

Mom and Dad found these adorable hats in Maine this past fall...super cute!

Evan was so patient and put Ben's Lego together that night so that Ben could play with it on the way home...what a super cousin!

Opening presents at Grannie and Papaw's

Grannie was pretty excited when she opened her Mickey Mouse light for the camper...I think she's ready to go back to Disney World now!

Ellie and Kyran are good buddies

The kids had a good time skating on the ice while we cut down the tree.

Christmas at the Zoo!

We all bundled up for a fun (and extremely chilly) night at the zoo!  We saw tigers, bears, penguins, a walrus, an awesome dolphin show, and much more!  The lights were so pretty, too!  We ended our visit with a stop to see Santa...the first time for both boys!  I always wondered if I would regret not taking Ben earlier, but I'm glad I didn't...he got to visit Santa for the first time with his brother!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's so nice to see our family of four hanging on the pegs...

Fall Party (a little late)

About a month ago, we went to our friend's annual fall party.  As always, it was a fabulous night!  Good conversation, great friends, excellent food, lots of kids, and lots of fun!  It was a chilly night, but thankfully they have a heated barn, so we were able to keep the babies in the group warm (made for a very nice night)!

Reece and Ben getting a ride!

Charlee and Kyran were talking all night.  Not sure what they were talking about, but they sure had a lot to say!

My Boys!

Just a few random shots of our boys...love, love, love these two little guys!

I heard a funny noise coming from the kitchen...this is what I found!  He's such a stinker!

These two boys play in the bath every night!  All I hear is giggling and splashing.  I'm so happy that I have two boys that love each other so much (at least for now)...so blessed to be their momma!

We have a Grandpa Jim look alike!

Playing catch up!

It's been almost a month since I've posted...I can blame the harvest, the toddler, the baby, the job, or I can just be honest and say that time has just gotten away from me!

Not much has happened in the past month, just our everyday life.  Andy finished up harvest a couple of weeks ago.  Ben enjoyed lots of time in the combine.  Kyran made a few trips around the field, but stayed with mommy for the most part.  We managed to slip away for a camping trip with the boys and friends, we took Ben to a Purdue Volleyball game, traveled to my parents for a Halloween party, two different friends homes for fall parties, and made a trip to my sister's to see little Lucy!

Here are some photos from the past month...our life in pictures.

6 Months (just a little late)!

Kyran is 6 months (actually he's almost 7, but I'm just a little behind)!

He had a great visit to the doctor.  He is 25 1/4 inches and weighs 19 lbs. and 4 oz.  He's in the 75% for weight and 95% for height.  He had to get some shots, which he did not like at all, but he recovered quickly!

Grandma Queenie and Kyran, just hanging out

Not only is he growing, he's also moving.  Since turning 6 months, he's discovered the army crawl, the wiggle crawl, the throw your leg in the air crawl, and an actual hands and knees crawl.  He's definitely a mover and he loves to get into everything.  I think we had the whole house baby-proofed before Ben was a month old...of course, Ben never touched a thing.  Kyran, unfortunately, is not following in his brother's footsteps.  If he sees it, and he can reach it, he's into it!

Not the clearest picture...but evidence of the mover we have.  Andy takes the boys to breakfast on Saturday's, and he's now resorted to taking the walker so that Kyran can stay entertained...he's not one to just sit on our laps and play.  I love our small town restaurant!!!

He loves all food, is having lots of fun trying to figure out how to get cheerios into his mouth, and we're working on a sippy cup.  He's really growing up!
